The Day I Had One Last Sex with You I Loved but Can No Longer See — Sumire Kuramoto

About this work

Sumire and I had been classmates since middle school. We started dating in high school and went to the same university. We went on dates, laughed about trivial things, skipped lectures to have sex, and spent time happily together. But one day she died in an accident... I was barely getting through the days, overwhelmed by sadness. Even years later the person who kept crossing my mind was the one I loved most. On the morning of the anniversary of her death, Sumire suddenly appeared in my room. A dream? A ghost? Confused, I hugged her slender body — it was warm. Our truly last day together. “I will always wish for your happiness,” she said.
