About this work

The year was 2010 AD. Europe was engulfed by an economic downturn. This major recession, which began in Greece, was thought by many ordinary people in Japan to have little effect, and only a minority felt any sense of crisis. But as time went on, more people began to be affected, and small and medium-sized enterprises without resilience started collapsing one after another. She was one of those who was severely affected. Her father had been the president of a small trading company. Although small-scale, it had been making a modest profit, and she grew up relatively affluent. She used to travel abroad with her father. But those days became a dream. As Europe’s economy worsened, her father’s business declined and fell into the red. He worked hard to try to revive the company, but likely from overexertion he became ill. Eventually, and mercilessly, his company went bankrupt leaving behind a large debt. That debt fell heavily onto her shoulders. It was an amount she could not possibly repay on her own. Her father would probably be unable to work for a while. "For the father who raised me this far, I have no choice but to do my best!" she thought. But even thinking that, she didn’t know what to do. She knew nothing about trade or economics. She agonized, and the answer she came to was night work. It may have been short-sighted. She didn’t think she had the talent to run a company like her father, and she didn’t have the capital to start one anyway. So night work was her only option. Having relied on her parents until now, she couldn’t think of anything else. She told herself that once she saved a certain amount of money, she would try something else. After that, she began working in the sex industry. With little prior experience she was often bewildered at first, but she learned many techniques there. After about six months, word among the shop’s regulars was: "Her sumata is amazing." Having gotten used to the physically demanding work, she even began to think it might be her vocation. Among those customers, unbeknownst to her, was a scout from our Shirouto TV. He dangled a large sum of money and begged her to show off that sumata.
